About Me
Who is Joannie B.
Joannie B. is a recovering people pleaser, former accountant, and imperfect perfectionist, who is now living her purpose embracing her uniqueness as a Business Mindset Coach. Her journey began with an urge to be a better version of herself. She has always contemplated the inner workings of the brain and wondered why some people were successful and some were not even though they had similar backgrounds and education.
She was raised in a functioning dysfunctional loving household and has much gratitude for her parents doing the best they could with the mental awareness and physical resources they had available. Her parents were hard working and strived to give her and her sibling a better life than they had, and they did!
They instilled strong work ethics, discipline, ambition, and responsibility, so she felt she had to portray a certain persona in public: she was taught to strive to be the best, but not better than others, be daring but don’t fail, be honest but not at the expense of the family image. The dualities fueled her curiosity to learn how others lived and behaved, while being a military brat who has lived on multiple continents and states in the US, allowed her to connect with people easily and have an immense appreciation for diversity. The combined opportunities helped her see patterns in behavior and taught her to exercise empathy and compassion.
She grew up having gratitude for the privileges she was granted and felt guilty for wanting more. Joannie knew by obtaining a degree in accounting, she would always have a job, life would be safe and organized… but was it fulfilling? For the next few years, she followed the “rules”: graduated from college, found a job with a prestigious company, volunteered in the community, and was available for her spouse and children.

As her family grew, she needed more flexibility within her career which pushed her on a journey of self-discovery.
Her pursuit for purpose led her to Life/Business Coaching where she is able to combine her love for business and people. Joannie B studied with certified coaches to earn her certificate in coaching. She has also studied the works of Napoleon Hill, Peter Sage, Brenee Brown, Carol Dwek, Jim Kwik, Jay Shetty, Micheal B. Beckwith, and others.
On her journey, she discovered her uniqueness was being able to connect with people naturally, coming from multiple generations of entrepreneurs, and the joy she feels seeing others succeed. Now armed with a deeper understanding of human behavior, desires, and mindset, she knows first-hand a life of certainty, safety, and a limiting belief system will provide a life of contemptment. So she continues to expand her knowledge so that she may empower others to confidently pursue and achieve their goals and live a life of prosperity and happiness by sharing their uniquines and purpose.
